Description
In this cozy garter-stich stole, the construction begins with a simple triangular shawl, and two additional triangles are knit along the lower edges for a clever twist. An I-cord trim defines the edges for a polished finish.
Finished Size: About 30″ (76 cm) wide and 60″ (152.5 cm) long.
Yarn: DK weight (Light #3). Shown here: Madelinetosh Tosh Merino DK (100% superwash merino wool; 225 yd [206 m]/100 g): afternoon (A), saffron (B), palomino (C), and glazed pecan (D), 2 skeins each.
Yarn Weight: #3 – Light
Needles: Size 9 (5.5 mm): 40″ (100 cm) circular (cir) and two double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Waste yarn; locking marker (m) or safety pin; tapestry needle.
Gauge: 16 sts and 40 rows = 4″ (10 cm) in garter stitch.
