When you find the perfect t-shirt, do you buy it in every color? Then, years later, it finally becomes something you can't wear out of the house? It never has to happen again. T-shirts are one of the simplest garments to duplicate in a non-destructive way, and the construction is generally simple. Use the method demonstrated in Trace and Make a T-shirt to get started sewing with knits, and learn to recreate your commercially constructed garments. We'll make a pattern from a shirt, take notes about how to construct it and then put it together. Once you've watched Trace and Make a T-shirt, you'll have all the tools you need to experiment sewing with knits.
