Excellent
I purchased the Book, and I love it! Review by Kathryn C (Posted on 8/11/2014)
Good lesson
Very informative. I had fun with this video. Lots of ideas. I had purchased the stamp carve play book, then I stumbled upon this video. It is best to start here first. Mixed media is expensive, you just have to start accumulating tools a little at a time. This will help me to create my own stamps instead of purchasing all. this video has allowed me to look around for patterns to make my own designs Review by Sharon (Posted on 8/3/2014)
Good if you have all the gadgets
Julie is a great teacher and this is a great video.... There is a "but" though. Yes she uses inexpensive foam and found objects, but what the blurb doesn't tell you is that you need specialist equipment for most of the techniques she demonstrates. Some of it looks pretty expensive. I don't have any of these gadgets so much of the video was of no use to me. I wouldn't have bought it if I'd known. If you already have the equipment though you will probably enjoy it more! I do think it should be clearer.. maybe supplying materials list would be useful as they do in Craftsy. Stamp-Making Adventures
I LOVE this DVD!!! In addition to being an amazing artist/teacher, Julie is smart, creative, and so energetic! I've collected all manner of stamp-carving supplies, from Speed-Ball lino-cutters to craft foam, but have felt timid about actually CARVING something. But now, after watching Julie's DVD, I can't wait to get started!! The only thing that I feel is missing is an enclosed "worksheet" with either photos or line drawings of each stamp. And, of course, a copyright statement. Congrats, and thanks, Julie for creating such a wonderful tutorial! Carolyn Phillips Review by NULL NULL (Posted on 5/24/2012)
