Our carefully chosen selection of featured spinning artists shares their skills, techniques, patterns and troubleshooting techniques through a collection of books, DVDs, eBooks and video downloads that we have available for purchase or download right here. Our collection is written and taught by such experts as Rita Buchanan, Sara Lamb, Sarah Anderson and Judith MacKenzie.

Rita Buchanan

As one of our great master spinning teachers, Rita Buchanan has been preparing fiber, spinning yarn and making fabrics from her handspun yarn for decades. Her collection of videos and eBooks cover aspects of drafting, plying, finishing, yarn management and knitting to gauge and her absolute joy for spinning is evident in the way she presents her knowledge. As someone who produces her own handspun shirts, sweaters, blankets, rugs, table linens, bath towels and even gardening shorts, she definitely has a wealth of information to offer.

Sara Lamb

As a renowned fiber artist, Sara Lamb lectures and gives workshops in the U.S., Canada, Australia and England. She had the natural ability to explain the entire spinning process from how to choose fibers to how to spin them with the finished fabric in mind. She provides detailed instructions and takes weavers through the steps of making exquisite bags, fabrics and more using folk weaving techniques.

Judith MacKenzie

Judith MacKenzie has a deep knowledge of spinning with such fine fibers as alpaca, suri alpaca, camel, silk and more. Through her collection of DVDs and videos for downloading, she provides in-depth history and fabric characteristics of all of these luxury fibers. She also shares many techniques such as the art of plying, how to master the spinning wheel and drafting techniques for crafting yarn with your own two hands.
