Good as far as it goes
This film is fine as far as it goes, but having read Peter Teal fantastic book on "Hand Woolcombing and Spinning, I was disappointed that all the spinning was shown on a Saxony type wheel and no mention or demonstration given of spinning techniques on the drop spindle or the Great Wheel, which was, after al,l where hand spinning started, and it would seem that the Great Wheel was the wheel most used before the industrial revolution, and was the wheel that the mechanised spinning machines were based on. I think that the extra techniques for spinning on the drop spindle and great wheel would have been worth including even if it made the cost of the video higher, because it would have then given a more complete picture of spinning worsted yarns.
