I'm a fairly experienced spinner and found this video to possibly be more aimed at beginners. There were indeed some good hints in there, but it was like finding a needle in a haystack. Usually spinners wanting to spin thin are experienced and don't need to know how to tie a drive band. Explaining drive band material and how that can impact things - that's great. The essential parts of the video would take 20-30 mins. The quality/editing were worse than YouTube videos and she clearly was uncomfortable and unscripted. Review by Krista (Posted on 8/6/2017)
Very instructive!
This was a great DVD filled with many tips on how to spin lace weight yarn. I've spun fine yarn before, but I think I'd be able to go even finer using all the advice given. I especially appreciated the time spent on all the different kinds of drive bands and how to reduce pulling. I also liked how different breeds were discussed. It made me think about Wensleydale in a whole new light! Highly recommend! Review by Katherine (Posted on 9/7/2015)
