Description
It’s always fun to see the kinds of things people have turned into beads: vintage tins, magazine pages, dice, typewriter keys, and now even bottle caps.
When I saw these novel bottle cap beads by Cathy Collison, I was compelled to test them out. What I came up with is a bracelet that plays out the whole soda bottle theme: cap beads separated by glass bottle blue rondelles and finished with a bubbly-print sterling silver clasp. Are you thirsty yet?
Required Materials: pressed-glass rondelles, bottle cap beads, snowflake spacers, toggle clasp, crimp tubes, crimp covers, beading wire. See project for complete list.
Tools Needed: Wire cutters, Crimping pliers
Finished Size: 7 ¼” (18.5 cm)
Techniques: Stringing; crimping
