The Slouchy Ribbed Hat is a warm and versatile unisex bulky knit hat. With or without a pom-pom, with more slouch or less—this pattern is perfect for customizing and great for beginner knitters, too!

Finished Size: 20 (21¼ , 22¾ )” (51 [54, 58] cm) brim circumference and 10 (10½ , 11¼ )” (25.5 [26.5, 28.5] cm) tall to fit adult small (medium, large). Project shown measures 20″ (51 cm) circumference and 10″ (25.5 cm) tall (adult small).
Specific Yarn Used:Patons Classic Wool Roving (100% wool; 120 yd [110 m]/3½ oz [100 g]): Low Tide, 1 skein. Yarn distributed by Spinrite.
Needles: Size U.S. 11 (8 mm): 16″ (40 cm) circular knitting needle and set of double-pointed needles (dpns). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Stitch marker; yarn needle; Bernat Faux Fur Pompom in color White Rabbit.
Gauge: 12 stitches and 14½ rounds = 4″ (10 cm) in K2, P2 Rib.
Notes:

• This hat uses almost an entire skein for size large. If you choose to keep your swatch or make a pom-pom, you may need an additional skein of yarn.
