Sophisticated couture shaping, the jacket back is worked in three pieces, the front in two pieces joined with princess seams. Embroidery and bead embellishments on the left sleeve add panache.

Complete Yarn List: Mission Falls 1824 Wool (100% merino superwash; 85 yd [78 m]/50 g). Jacket: #010 russet (burgundy; MC), 14 (15, 17, 18, 19, 20) balls; #029 raspberry (dark fuchsia), #011 poppy (red), #015 putty (gray), #005 raven (black), and #014 Dijon (gold), 1 ball each. Skirt: #015 putty (gray; A) and #005 raven (black; B), 5 (5, 6, 6, 7, 7, 8) balls each; #014 Dijon (gold; C), 1 ball. Yarn distributed by Unique Kolours.

Complete Notions: Waste yarn; tapestry needle; markers (m); stitch holders. For jacket only: four ¾" (2-cm) buttons; beading needle; polyester sewing thread in coordinating color for attaching beads; glass seed beads: 250 violet (cut), 100 amber (round), 75 black (facet), 75 gunmetal (round); 2-mm seed beads: 10 green (round). Needles: Jacket—Size 6 (4 mm) and 5 (3.75 mm). Skirt—Size 7 (4.5 mm): straight; and size 6 (4 mm): 24" (60-cm) and 36" (90-cm) circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
