Fun Design, Insufficient Materials
Rating
The Good: This kit worked up quickly, into a fun, colorful necklace that immediately inspired oohs and aahs from my mother and sister-in-law. The included chain is plenty long enough to accommodate any neck or preference.

The Bad: There weren't enough gold galvanized 11s in the kit! Luckily, I had similar beads on hand. Also, there were just enough crescents, howlite beads, and head pins to complete the design--not a single extra of anything. What would I have done if a bead had rolled away, been malformed, or had damaged coating? While I appreciate Interweave's low kit prices, I would gladly pay a couple extra dollars to ensure that I have plenty of (quality) beads.

Some Tips: I had to fiddle with the tension when weaving. You want the beaded-bead RAW units to be nice and tight, so that the 4mm howlite beads pop out, rather than sitting squarely in the circles of seed beads. I didn't use the optional E6000 to "secure" the rivolis, but I recommend it because, while you don't have to worry about the rivolis falling out, the rivolis move in the center of the finished design, causing it to look slightly lopsided.

If you have additional crescents in your stash, I highly recommend working one side of the donut embellishment in different colors to create a reversible necklace! :)
