Monument Valley, also known to the Navajo as Valley of Rocks, appears on the horizon as you travel along the Arizona/Utah border from east to west. Marked with huge sandstone buttes that dominate the landscape, the valley is also filled with undulating rivers of sand shaped by the wind. The area is well known to fans of many John Ford movies, because he filmed some of his best -known Westerns in this valley, including Stagecoach, Fort Apache, and She wore a Yellow Ribbon, making the landscape as big a star in his movies and John Wayne himself.

Circular needles are used to work the body to accommodate the large number of stitches. Work back and forth and do not join. Because of the stretchy nature of the ribbed side panels, if you wish to wear this piece with a form-fitting shape, choose a size closest to, or a bit smaller than, your actual bust measurement. If you would prefer to wear this with a slightly boxier fit, choose a size a bit larger than your actual bust measurement, or block the ribbing at the side panels so that it lays flat and does not pull in.
