Not as advertised

The single ball of yarn would not come close to knitting the hat & pair of mittens as they claim. Yes, I got gauge. When I saw how fast the yarn was consumed on the hat I did a bit more research on Raverly and found that I'm not alone in having this issue. I reported this to the designer and to Interweave and they don't seem to care, since they haven't changed the tag line on how they position the "kit."

not a kit - feeling ripped off - plus I even did fast shipping for Christmas! 54 for 2 mags and 2 balls of yarn Review by Lisa (Posted on 1/25/2017)
Not worth it

So, you're getting a magazine and a ball of yarn. When I see the word "kit", I expect to be able to make the thing without buying anything else. This needs needles and notions for it to be a kit. Right now, it's just a ball of yarn, and while I admit I should have double checked before buying it, I feel pretty ripped off. Review by Branwyn (Posted on 12/24/2016)
Looks great in the photo - horrible yarn to work with
I have to say, this yarn is horrible, it's rough, and knots so badly that you cannot get any knot undone. I literally threw my knitting on the floor. I had to rip out 2 times just the casting on. The colors are not lining up as in the photo - I have to two balls of yarn, and at this rate this hat is going to take forever. This is NOT my best purchase from you. I feel I need a refund but I know that will not happen. If Susan wants to buy mine, just let me know. Denise Breen

The colours pf the wool are beautiful and the instructions clearly written. I enjoy a challenge and look forward to beginning this project. I am well satisfied with this purchase and will enjoy wearing this hat for a very long time. Review by Burtine (Posted on 10/24/2016)
