Fantastic book and DVD
I have been interested in Estonian Lace with Nupps for a few years, but could not follow You Tube instructions. I knit the English way, not the Continental way. It was not until I bought Nancy Bush's book and DVD , that I could follow the way she knits Estonian Lace (the English way). Only trouble is I think English knitting is slower than the Continental way. I am afraid at the age of 65 now, I am too used to knitting the English way. I love Lily of the Valley stitch and am knitting a scarf/shawl for Australia's coming winter. We are in the middle of summer now and I find I can still knit with the fine wool without overheating my hands.

I would thoroughly recommend Nancy's Book and DVD to all interested knitters!!!

Wow! Gorgeous!
I just got this book, and I've only had time to leaf through it, but the designs are spectacular. I can't say anything yet about the quality of the directions, but I can't wait to start knitting.

One thing I really like about it, because I like to design my own patterns, is that not only does the book include patterns for shawls, it also includes charts for various stitch motifs, along with good pictures. My next project is going to be a knitted lace top, and there are a number of beautiful motifs I want to try out for it.

Very exciting and inspiring.

Fabulous Resource for Knitted Lace
I've long admired Estonian lace, but was too intimidated to give it a try. Seeing Interweave offered this book with an accompanying DVD, I ordered it at once. I am so glad I did - I am a visual learner, & Nancy Bush is a fabulous teacher! Not only does Nancy explain the history of Estonian lace, but she also clearly explains and demonstrates the techniques involved in creating these beautiful pieces. The patterns are clearly written & well-charted. The photography is beautiful. Needless to say, I am now half-way through a scarf version of Maikell & have used the techniques, edgings & motifs in a number of other projects. Review by Aimee Shelton (Posted on 10/8/2011)
