The designer set out to design a sweater that any guy would want – the result was the Cotswold Henley, a rugged-looking sweater with a bit of sophistication in the fit and in such details as the tubular cast-ons and bind-offs.
Finished Size:Â 36 1/4 (40, 42 3/4, 47 1/2, 52 1/4)” chest circumference.
Yarn:Â Briggs & Little Regal (100% wool; 272 yd [249 m]/4 oz [113 g]): forest brown, 5 (5, 6, 7, 7) skeins.
Needles:Â Sizes 7 (4.5 mm) and 5 (3.75 mm): 24″ and 16″ circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions:Â Markers (m); size G/6 (4 mm) crochet hook; waste yarn for provisional CO; cable needle (cn); stitch holders; tapestry needle; three 1 1/8″ buttons.
Gauge:Â 17 sts and 28 rnds = 4″ in Henley Rib patt on larger needle; 17 sts and 28 rnds = 4″ in Garter Basketweave patt on larger needle.

The classic henley is always a favorite among guys because it’s the perfect marriage of sporty and stylish. The Limerick Henley doesn’t disappoint—it’s dressy enough for the office and casual enough for the weekend. Varying textures and tailored lines make this pullover pleasing to the eye and interesting for the knitter.
Finished Size: 36½ (41, 44, 48½, 53)” chest circumference. Pullover shown measures 44″; modeled with 4″ of positive ease.

Sebastian’s Cardigan Knitting Pattern by Irina Anikeeva

Both sophisticated and casual, Sebastian’s Cardigan has the tailored lines of classic menswear, but what makes this cardigan stand out are the double-breasted front and the collar that can be popped or worn at. This cardigan is worked in one piece from the bottom up and divided at the armholes. The sleeves are worked in the round, and the sleeve cap is seamed to the armhole.
