About the Expert:

Nathalie is an Army wife and mother of 2 boys. She hails from Ireland, although born in Paris, France, Nathalie actually considers French her native language. At home she learned English from her Irish parents. Years in Switzerland and Italy brought her Italian and German. She then majored in Spanish and French while at University in Dublin. After College she joined as a volunteer for the International Red Cross and Red Crescent. Her humanitarian travels brought her to Rwanda, Zaire, Bosnia and Haiti where she worked with refugees using her fiber art skills to help women create small businesses. Nathalie learned to knit and crochet with her grandmother as a young girl in Ireland. Never having used a written pattern to knit or crochet a garment until she moved to the US in 2004, she is now the Design Director for the YarnSisters and has been creating patterns for the past 7 years. Nathalie is currently working on a book of accessories using luxury yarns.
