Andy Cooperman is my new best friend! He presents information about the various flex-shaft tools in easily understood terms and shows the results in real-world applications. I actually like the fact that it is not a project-based video, which does not encourage much creativity. Seeing techniques and how to get the most from tools I already had has opened up a whole world of design possibilities. And I'll be adding more attachments now that Andy has demonstrated how useful and versatile they can be.
These videos are one of the best investments I've made in my studio reference library!

Spectacular video!
Andy, where have you been? This is exactly the information on using the Flex Shaft that I've been searching for. Some of this stuff, I probably would have eventually learned on my own or from my instructor (I take an ongoing adult education class), but I would have had to do 20 to 30 projects before I would have encountered all of the situations that would have allowed me to learn these things. Other things, I might never have learned.
Anytime one learns a new craft, it's important to have more than one teacher, and Andy's the equivalent of 2 or 3, at least. It's like having my learning curve compressed by 10 times.

One really nice aspect of this video is it uses more than one camera. That means the viewer can see closeups from different angles, and in a situation where the person's hands could get in the way (due to the type of task), just using a different camera solves the problem. That really made a difference.

By the time you finish the video, you're going to feel like you and Andy are BFF's. He's very relaxed and conversational, but obviously knowledgeable, and his enthusiasm is contagious. Any videos he wants to make, I'll buy!

Well worth the money
I have already seen both these videos at a Metalsmith's meetup. I was so impressed with the content, pace and style( and I enjoyed his sense of humor) that I have decided to buy myself the videos rather than just borrowing them. So many unconventional tips that even though I took copious notes I know I will enjoy rewards Ching this! Review by Sara (Posted on 9/24/2017)
By far the most thorough and effective teaching DVD's to date!
Andy Cooperman has a wonderful teaching style, along with a plethora of knowledgeable, organized, and effective teaching skills. I certainly received more than my monies worth from these two dvd's. Cannot recommend them enough. He has made my love of creating jewelry even more exciting by giving me insights on how and when to use certain, abrasives, burs, etc.. From a fellow Seattleite...Thanks Andy!! Review by Jan (Posted on 6/28/2017)
Very very good.
Very very good. Full of an amazing amount of usable and solid information. If you work in metal and have, or want to get a Flex shaft, get this video. Review by Deborah (Posted on 6/20/2017)
A huge amount of useful info. I love that he is using the tool both as a mini lathe and a milling machine as well as for the usual polishing chores. Great information that will truly help me get much more from my new rotary tool. Andy, I would hug you if I could! Review by Carla (Posted on 12/18/2016)
Fantastic video
Well worth the money! It is PACKED with ideas and uses for the flex shaft. There are a few things he doesn't cover because doesn't use them (like the felt polishing pads) but I am using my flex shaft a lot more now. I have been using it to sand the edges of my metal pieces which is much easier than using the hand files, making it more enjoyable since I don't really like hand filling. Great video and teacher.
