Band Ring Project Download

Description

This is a great project for beginners as a skill-builder, or for more advanced students who want a quick project. Stamp a secret message inside, and give it as a gift. This technique will work with a variety of wire shapes: choose half round, round, square, flat, or patterned.

Finished Size: Customized to your ring size.
Required Materials: Sterling silver flat wire 5mm x 1.25mm, or size and metal of your choice, 3-4″
Tools: Brass mallet, 2mm letter stamps, small heart design stamp, arrow design stamp, chain-nose pliers, butane torch, solder pick, solder tweezers, easy paste solder, kiln brich or charcoal block, rotating soldering pan or metal pan, quench bowl, pickle pot & pickle, heavy-duty flush cutters or jeweler’s saw, ruler, fine tip permanent marker, metal file, millimeter gauge, steel ring mandrel, plastic or rawhide mallet, bench block, silver black or antiquing agent of choice, metal polish pad or steel wool, easy paste solder (sheet or wire solder may be substituted)
