Dark Sweaters Dark Background bad combination
My personal pet peeve is seeing a dark sweater which might be gorgeous in person but in magazine it never works. The picture in this issue is of a dark blob and you can't see details of the sweater. If you have to do it in dark colors, then knit it in a lighter color and show that as well. Review by DebbyD (Posted on 8/27/2017)
Dark photography of Homestead section
I agree with Melinda. The dark background and shaded lighting of the Homestead section makes it very difficult to see the full design of the garments. An artful photograph is one thing, a photograph showing off a garment design is another. Review by Sue (Posted on 8/21/2017)
Poor photography masks designs in HOMESTEAD section
I really love the cable and color designs in the WANDERLUST section of the magazine and am drawn to start on several of the garments. I was so looking forward to knitting something from the HOMESTEAD section for my husband who always ends up with the short stick on knitted goods. Sadly the photography in this section is so dark and so low contrast that it ruins the knit pieces. The photos look better on-line, but really, patterns that are about texture DESERVE the best photography detail.

Anyone else object to the really poor photography in this issue?
