SOLD OUT - Interweave Escapes Knitting Retreat: Camden, Maine - May 3-6, 2018
Interweave Escapes is a unique way for knitters to come together, learn from a knitting expert and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow devotees in this intimate, retreat-style setting.
On May 3-6, 2018 Interweave Escapes is traveling to historic Camden, Maine to enjoy this exclusive event. We will be staying at the luxurious Camden Harbour for a one-of-a kind, all inclusive knitting getaway. There will be two workshops from Kristen TenDyke and Amanda Scheuzger, delicious gourmet meals, a trip to Good Karma Farm (Belfast, ME), and afternoon tea at The Cashmere Goat Yarn Store. Join us for an amazing weekend amid the beauty of the Camden Harbour, May 3-6, 2018.
Spots are limited and going fast! Don't wait, these exclusive events sell out quickly!
There will be two three-hour knitting workshops: one with Kristen TenDyke and one with Amanda Scheuzger:
- Continuous Cables with Amanda Scheuzger: Continuous cables seem to grow magically out of nowhere in knitted fabric to twist and twirl in intricate knotted shapes before they disappear back into the fabric.
These special cables feature a closed-loop design and can be used to create Celtic knot inspired motifs or cables that run horizontal to the direction of the knitting. This class will cover how to work the increases and decreases needed to create these unique designs and how to read these cable charts.
- Sweater Construction with Kristen TenDyke: Did you ever notice that the way a sweater is constructed can vary greatly from pattern to pattern? Some are knit top-down, while others are bottom-up. Some have set-in sleeves, while others are drop, modified drop, yoke or raglan. Maybe this is confusing, or you've never even heard these terms before. Kristen TenDyke will explain the differences between different types of sweater construction, and walk you through how to knit each type. You'll leave with a bunch of tiny sweaters, and the confidence to knit one full-size!
Starting at just $1,895 per person (for double occupancy), this extremely limited event includes lodging at Camden Harbour Inn, all meals, workshops, a trip to Good Karma Farm, Wine and Cheese party hosted by The Cashmere Goat Yarn Store, and a gift bag. All taxes and gratuities are also included.
