Very disappointed in Interweave editing and errors
I purchased the accessories CD and started making the Fennel Hat by Ellen Gormley...some serious errors in it and when I went to Ravelry she mentioned serious discrepancies between what she submitted and what the editor(s) changed....we were advised to go by the diagram which not everyone can...some prefer written, some diagrams, and still others require both...this was in 2011 and since I bought the CD this year 2016, no errata was added nor published here, even after she informed you.
It was decided not to pursue it since a few had managed to make it despite the errors you published...but that is very unfair to those who bought the pattern (and you are charging $5.50 US for it on Ravelry) or the CD of accessories issues. Why should we spend good money on quality yarns and a pattern only to have to work around your errors???
I've spent almost 2 hours crocheting and ripping back and am still at round 5.....publishing errors and having to print them and tape them to many patterns in my Interweave Crochet issues is what made me discontinue my subscription years ago.
Why is this still happening?
