Customer Reviews (1)
Better when used separately.
I found the yarn to be a bit “stiff”to work with and with this pattern, not the best combination. But when I substituted a combination of worsted weight with sock weight yarns together, I really enjoyed the pattern. I could see the maize plant form in the middle! I still used J hook as in the pattern since the combined yarns translated well as a bulky weight.

As for the yarn, I found a closer stitch pattern like half double crochet or alternating single and double worked much better for the appreciation of the texture and density of this yarn.I loved both parts of the kit, just not together.
