Enjoy the shaping that is cleverly contained to shells in these lacy socks, with a solid toe and heel. Use a stretchy ribbon to keep the socks in place. Develop your crochet skills with the whipstitch seam and slip-stitch seaming.
Finished Size: 10¾ (11½, 12¼, 13)” calf circumference, 7¼ (8, 8¾, 9½)” ankle circumference and 6½ (7¼, 8, 8¾)” foot circumference. Socks shown measure 11½” calf circumference, modeled with 2-3½” of negative ease at calf.
Yarn: Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock (80% superwash merino, 20% nylon; 430 yd [393 m]/3½ oz [100 g]): #21ns powder blue, 2 hanks.
Yarn Weight: #1 – Super Fine
Needles: Size B/1 (2.5 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions: St markers (m); yarn needle; 1 to 1½ yards of 3/8″ decorative elastic, sewing needle and matching thread (optional).
