Lara's Dance Skirt Crochet Pattern
This seamless lace skirt is worked in a hemp yarn and creates a swingy, flirty feminine piece. Hemp is crisp and ropelike in the hank but becomes softer and more pliable as it is worked. This skirt, crocheted seamlessly from the top down, takes advantage of the tendency of crochet rows to shift to the right when worked in the round with right side facing. The swirl pattern creates bias-like fabric that falls beautifully from the elasticized waistband to below the knee. Lace faux godet insets begin at midlength and give the hem a full, twirly bounce.
Finished Size: 30 (33, 36, 38, 41)" circumference at natural waist and 27" long; belt is 2" wide and 36 (40, 44, 48, 52)" long. Skirt shown is 30". (Belt not shown.)
