Description
Delicate embroidery follows the patterns made by simple lacework in this summery knitted blouse. Tailored I-cord trim along the neckline and sleeve edgings provide a neat finish. The body is worked in one piece to the armholes for easy knitting; then the front and back are worked separately back and forth. The set-in cap sleeves knit up quickly. Its worked in comfy mercerized cotton; make it in the colors shown or try it in spicey red with mexicali colors for the embroidery.
Finished Size: 31 (34 ¼, 37, 40 ¼, 43, 48 ¼)” bust circumference. Top shown measures 37″.
Yarn: Garnstudio Safran (100% cotton; 174 yd [159 m]/50 g): #18 ecru (off-white, MC), 4 (5, 5, 6, 6, 7) balls; #31 lime, #13 pink, #30 turquoise, 1 ball each for embroidery. Yarn distributed by Aurora Yarns

Gauge: 24 sts and 32 rows
Needles: EdgingSize 2 (2.75 mm): 16″ and 24″ circular (cir). Body and I-cord edging Size 4 (3.5 mm): 24″ cir and set of 5 double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Size E/4 (3.5 mm) crochet hook; waste yarn for provisional CO; tapestry needle; markers (m); stitch holders; sharp-point embroidery needle.
