Good book
Making jewelry is not my forte, but I bought the book for the eye candy and because of the great price. The book arrived yesterday and I have already read it cover to cover and placed it on my crafting bookshelf. The ideas are wonderful, the color combinations are gorgeous, the projects are unique, and most of them look doable (with a little bit of effort). My only complaint is that the author makes you continually re-refer to the front of the book for knotting instructions. It is a little bit annoying not having complete stepouts placed with each project. I know it saves paper to do it this way, but it is not helpful for the new beader. Not only do you have to figure out which bead is next, you also have to picture the steps in your head when she says "repeat steps 2 to 5" five times, which can be difficult for a new beader. Still, I like the book very much and I'm glad I took a chance on it. Review by Diane (Posted on 9/20/2017)
Good book to dip into when you need ideas
I don't make all that much with bits of ribbon, but after browsing this book, I now do more. I really like some of the combinations of using cord, beads, ribbons, metal together in one piece. Some were too fussy or confused, but I found myself bookmarking many of the projects, and I've taken elements from them to incorporate in my work. Erin Siegel in particular had many designs I liked and I appreciated her use of color. Review by Leigh (Posted on 7/23/2017)
Finding My Style
I have tried a variety of styles and techniques as I try to discover my own. I found some aspects of this book add to my own unique mode although others do not fit my style. This book has been very helpful to me in this process. I am more open to using some new modalities. Review by Barbara (Posted on 7/1/2016)
This book is incredibly inspiring and I just loved it! Ran to the nearest beading supplier and stocked right up! Review by Kate (Posted on 4/28/2016)
Beautiful projects
Must have book for artists trying to decide which direction to go in their art form. Very well written and lots of great ideas that are inspiring. Love this book. Review by Lydia (Posted on 9/4/2015)
Love this book!!!
I never write reviews, but since I'm sitting around with a broken hip, thought i'd take the time. I've been anxiously awaiting the arrival of this book which I preordered. It was worth the wait and I am so excited after doing a quick look-through. There is not one design that I don't like which is so often not the case. From a cursory review of the instructions, I think most of these designs are within my capabilities-at least when I am a little more mobile! The authors explain some techniques/tips for working with leather and ribbon that I had been experimenting with on my own without complete success. If you are a fan of this bohemian look, buy this amazing book! Review by Jen Biggs (Posted on 5/4/2012)
