Description
Get great results for larger pieces by boosting the heat. Often the hardest part of learning how to solder a bezel is keeping the backplate evenly heated to get good solder flow. This project will show you how to do this with simple and easy instructions.
Required Materials:
- Stone cab of your choice
- 18 gauge anti-tarnish silver sheet, around 1 inch by 2 inches
- Fine silver bezel wire
- Hard silver solder
Tools: Manual (not automatic) center punch, chasing hammer, bench block, Torch, pickle, flux, tweezers, trinket kiln; Saw and saw blades or shears, drill bit and flexshaft or half round pliers; Files, 400 grit sandpaper and finishing implements of your choice; Bezel rocker, curved burnisher, some way of holding the piece
