Sized for women and offered in two colorways, the funky Bear Mountain Crocheted Hats show off the fun colors and luxurious character of Wool and the Gang's Wooly Bully Alpaca yarn, a blend of super-soft alpaca and smooth merino wool. Choose your look, then work your hat from the top down in rounds in a fun colorwork pattern of half double crochet stitches.

White/Orange/Blue/Gray Version:
Kit includes enough yarn to make the small size only; however, the pattern also includes instructions to make a larger size that is 28" in circumference and requires additional yarn that is not included in the kit.

Finished Size: 21" in circumference.
Yarn: Wool and the Gang Wooly Bully Alpaca (80% superfine alpaca, 20% merino wool; 43 yd [40 m]/1¾ oz [50 g]; CYCA #5): ivory white (B), eagle grey (C), Mr. Sky Blue (A), rusty orange (D), 1 ball each.
Hook: Size K/10½ (6.5 mm) hook. Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain gauge.
Notions: Tapestry needle.
Gauge: 11 sts and 9 rnds = 4".

Gray/Purple version:
Kit includes enough yarn to make the small size only; however, the pattern also includes instructions to make a larger size that is 28" in circumference and requires additional yarn that is not included in the kit.

Finished Size: 21" in circumference.
Yarn: Wool and the Gang Wooly Bully Alpaca (80% superfine alpaca, 20% merino wool; 43 yd [40 m]/1¾ oz [50 g]; CYCA #5): Shacklewell grey (B) and eagle grey (C), Margaux red (A) 1 ball each.
Note: This kit includes 1 skein each of A and C and 2 skeins of B (we wanted to make sure you had enough yarn but mistakenly packed 2 skeins of the wrong color). To make sure you don't run out, check your gauge carefully or switch colors B and C.

LOVE THIS HAT!
Rating
Would have given 5 stars except for the fact that one of the yarns just barely had enough to finish project! Ordered the other hat in the dark colors and hoping I have enough for that one- but company said if not to call them. There are tutorials online to help with this pattern Review by Elaine (Posted on 7/31/2017)
Get it together

You want me to buy your kit but YOU packed the wrong yarns so I might have enough or I might not. wow, this is not the first time you have done this interweave. Get it together. Review by Nan (Posted on 12/1/2016)
I really wanted to love this kit!
But here's what happened: I ordered the grey kit (three colors). They send you enough yarn for a small hat only. It is supposed to need 3 balls of yarn but they send one extra ("as insurance"). However, they sent a second ball of the wrong color! And this is for the SMALL hat.

Also, for some reason, I was hoping to use this pattern to make the other colorway but that is a different pattern that uses FOUR colors so I ended up buying the second pattern because I am not good at modifying patterns.

On the other hand, I will probably make a ton of these hats for holiday gifts (with a different, less expensive yarn). The Wool and Gang yarn is delightful but pricey. The pattern is really cute and quick.
