Beauty in the hands of the beader
I thought this instruction was very nice. I did not actually make the butterfly as shown but used my own group of beads and imagination. You can make your own personal butterfly using this instruction as a guideline. I did use the template provided for my first effort but will now use templates that I can make on my own either from tracing butterflies from a nature book or just freehand. Anything goes when beading, yes? You CAN make a realistic butterfly but its up to the beader and their stash of seed beads. My first project is lovely and I get many compliments on it. The one thing I did change from the instruction in materials was the bead cloth. I went with the tighter weave embroidery cloth, the cross stitch grade is just too loose. You can also use a stiff beading material found in most bead supply shops. Review by Shirley (Posted on 10/14/2014)
