Description
The designer loved the movie Marie Antoinette and was inspired to create a garment reminiscent of some of the fashions of that era. This cardigan is close-fitting and very lacy, intended to be the focal point of an outfit. Button placement allows some flexibility for a perfect fit.
Finished Size: 33 (35, 38, 40)” bust circumference. Garment shown measures 35″. Cardigan is close fitting with 1/3″ of negative ease.
Yarn: GGH Tajmahal (70% wool, 22% silk, 8% cashmere; 93 yd [85 m]/¾ oz [25 g]; CYCA-standard yarn weight system-1): #24, 18 (19, 21, 22) skeins. Yarn distributed by Muench Yarns.
Yarn weight: #3 – Light
Gauge: 4 ¼ shell patt rep [sh, sc] and 14 rows = 4″.
Needles: Hooks: Size G/6 (4 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Yarn needle; six 7/8″ buttons.
