Description

Christina Marie Potter hooks into her experience working in a bridal shop to work a dainty edging for a veil, complete with a bouquet of dainty flowers at the crown. A coordinating purse echoes the flowers at the closure; this clutch would be fabulous in bright colors for summer, as well. These lovely heirlooms won’t break the bank, leaving more money for champagne.

Finished Size: Purse: about 5″ high and 6″ long. Veil: variable.
Yarn: Coats and Clark Aunt Lydia’s, size 10 (100% cotton; 350 yd [320 m]; ): # 0210, antique white, 2 skeins for purse, 1 skein for veil.
Yarn weight: #0 – Lace
Gauge: 42 sts and 52 rows = 4″ in sc.
Hook: Size 1.65 mm steel hook. Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions: Purse: yarn needle; one 1″ button; Veil: veil with comb attached or tulle by the yard for making a veil; yarn needle, sewing needle; sewing thread; 9 pearl beads.
