Description

The designer uses a dense four-row basketweave cable to nip in the waist of this vest. A simple lace panel runs along the flatteringly deep V-neck.

Finished Size: 31 ½ (35 ¼, 39 ¼, 42 ¾, 46 ½, 50 ¾)” bust circumference. Vest shown measures 35 ¼”, modeled with about 1″ positive ease.
Yarn: Tilli Tomas Elsie (33% wool, 33% silk, 33% milk protein; 135 yd [123 m]/ 50 g): burnt orange, 5 (6, 7, 7, 8, 9) balls.
Yarn weight: #4 – Medium
Gauge: 23 sts and 33 rows = 4″ in St st on smaller needle; 37 sts and 32 rows = 4″ in woven cable on larger needle; left/right front lace = 1 3/8″ wide on smaller needle.
Needles: Size 5 (3.75 mm): 32″ and 16″ circular (cir). Size 7 (4.5 mm): 32″ cir. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Markers (m); stitch holders; tapestry needle; four 5/8″ buttons.
