Description

Worked back and forth in a long strip, this poncho features unique braided columns. To make these columns, stitches are dropped and raveled down to the cast-on row, then hooked back up two strands at a time from the cast-on back to the top. The bound-off edge is sewn to the lower side edge to enclose the final piece.

Specific Yarn Used: Tahki Yarns Big Montana (100% pure wool roving; 71 yd [65 m]/3½ oz [100 g]): #207 co ee, 5 hanks.
Needles: Size 17 (12.75 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Size P/Q (15 mm) crochet hook; tapestry needle.
GAUGE 6 sts and 9 rows = 4" in St st.
