A simple, cozy mitten that knits up super quick from hand-dyed chunky yarn. The vivid color variations bring to mind colorful stained-glass windows.

Finished Size: 6¾ (7½ , 9¼ )” (17 [19, 23.5] cm) hand circumference and 7¼ (8¾ , 10½ )” (18.5 [22, 26.5] cm) long to fit child (teen/ woman small, woman large). Project shown measures 7½ ” (19 cm) circumference and 8¾ ” (22 cm) long (teen/woman small).
Specific Yarn Used:Miss Babs K2 (100% merino wool; 240 yd [219 m]/7¼ oz [205 g]): Perfectly Wreckless, 1 skein.
Needles: Size U.S. 11 (8 mm): set of doublepointed needles (dpns). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Stitch markers; stitch holder; yarn needle.
Gauge: 10½ stitches and 18 rounds = 4″ (10 cm) in stockinette stitch.
Notes:

  • These mit tens are worked in the round in stockinette stitch and then turned inside out once completed so that the purl “bumps” become the right side.
