Grab everyone’s attention with the interlocking arches and wells in this knitted tube sock pattern. Purl stitch and single-row stripes create special attention to the pretty purl rows created.

Description

The purl stitch is so often overlooked as nothing more than the wrong side of knitting, but those pretty interlocking arches and wells have a grace all their own. Single-row stripes give special attention to these pretty purl rows. These socks are knitted in plump Aran-weight wool and then turned purl side out so the smooth knit stitches sit on the inside for cozy lounging. Each sock is a simple tube—no heel to turn or gusset to master, and no Kitchener stitch for the toe tip—just relaxing knit stitches (and the occasional decrease) from a ribbed cuff all the way to the bind-off.
