Yarn weight: #5 – Bulky.

Gauge: SCARF: 9 sts and 12 rows = 4″/10 cm in Cable Pattern with 2 strands held tog; HAT: 14 sts and 18 rows = 4″/10 cm in Cable Pattern with 1 strand of yarn

Needles: One pair size 17 (12.75mm) needles, One pair size 10 ½ (6.5mm) needles, Four size 10 ½ (6.5mm) double-pointed needles (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
