A scarf that mimicks the traditional bobbin lace developed in Bruges, Belgium.

Description

In the nineteenth century, crochet was largerly used to imitate traditional lace techniques, such as bobbin lace. One famous type of bobbin lace came from Bruges/Bregge, Belgium, and crochet de Bruges was developed to imitate it. The simple, ribbonlike technique is well worth exploring with materials other than thin, white cotton thread.
