This lap blanket is soft and squishy and works up quickly on large needles. The stitch pattern is easy to remember and a pleasure to knit.

Specific Yarn Used:Ewe Ewe Yarns Wooly Worsted (100% merino wool; 95 yd [87 m]/1¾ oz [50 g]): #40 Lemon Chiffon, 12 skeins.
Needles: Size U.S. 15 (10 mm): 32″ (80 cm) circular knitting needle. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Yarn needle.
Gauge: 10½ stitches and 14 rows = 4″ (10 cm) in Stitch Pattern with 2 strands held together.
Notes:

  • Blanket is worked with two strands of yarn held together throughout.
  • A circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of stitches.
