Description

Use 14- or 16-gauge wire and a simple solder to create unconventional hoop earrings! You can change up this design by using brass or copper wire, various textures or a different-sized mandrel.

Required Materials:

  • 14- or 16-gauge sterling silver dead soft wire
  • Ear wires

Tools: Round-nose pliers, Flat-nose pliers, Copper tongs, Tweezers, Solder pick, Flush cutters, Chasing hammer, Rawhide hammer, Ring mandrel, Round bracelet mandrel, Ruler, Steel bench block, Butane micro torch, Soldering brick, Quench bowl, Flux, Flux brush, Easy solder, Pickle pot & pickle, Square piece of metal screen, Sharpie, 1.25mm hole punch, Liver of sulfur (optional), 0000 steel wool (optional), Rotary tumbler with stainless steel shot (optional)
