YARN Brown Sheep Company Burly Spun (100% wool; 132 yd / 8 oz): #BS-10 cream (MC), 6 skeins.
Brown Sheep Company Cotton Fine (80% cotton, 20% merino wool; 215 yd / 1.75 oz): #CF-005 cavern (CC), 1 skein.
HOOK Size H/8 (5 mm) and size 0 (2 mm) steel hook. Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
NOTIONS Yarn needle; removable stitch marker; 1″ wide black leather strap, 1.5 yd; pins; laundry starch, plastic food wrap; bubble wrap; paper; compass, 2; scissors; water-soluble pen; craft knife.
GAUGE 12 sts and 13 rnds = 4″ with larger hook; base rnds 16 = 4″ in diameter.
