The Susurration Sweater balances the richly textured, allover cable pattern of the body with relatively simple sleeves featuring stockinette stitch interrupted with short bursts of purl stitches. The classic raglan shaping and mock turtleneck add timeless elements to the modern stitch pattern. The sweater is worked in separate pieces from the bottom up and seamed.

Finished Size: 39 (43, 47 ½, 51 ½, 56, 60 ½, 64 ½, 69)” circumference at underarm. Pullover shown measures 39″; modeled with 5 ½” of positive ease.

Specific Yarn Used: Plymouth Yarn DK Merino Superwash (100% fine Merino superwash wool; 130 yd [119 m]/ 1 ¾ oz [50 g]): #1128 Orchid, 12 (13, 15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21) skeins.

Needles: Sizes 4 (3.5 mm) and 6 (4 mm): straight. Size 4 (3.5 mm): 16″ circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Marker (m); removable m; stitch holder; cable needle (cn); tapestry needle.

Gauge: 26 sts and 30 rows = 4″ in Cable patt on larger needles; 22 sts and 32 rows = 4″ in Texture patt on larger needles.
