Description

Get into the holiday spirit with the Sugar & Spice Hat! Using Fair Isle techniques, work up steaming cups of hot chocolate, spicy gingerbread men, cheerful pine trees, and falling snow.

Finished Size: 21″ head circumference and 10″ tall.

Yarn: Schachenmayr Original Merino Extrafine 120 (100% virgin wool; 131 yd [120 m]/1 3/4 oz [50 g]: #102 cream (A), #171 olive (B), #173 apple green (C), #130 scarlet (D), #111 chestnut (E), 1 ball each. Yarn distributed by Westminster Fibers.

Needles: Size 4 (3.5 mm): 16″ circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Markers (m); tapestry needle.

Gauge: 25 sts and 29 rnds = 4″ in charted patt.
