Description

Make small ornamental bowls with fun lace edgings – perfect as d, cor or a quick little gift.

Finished Size: 16 (20, 22″ )” circumference before felting; 14 (17, 21)” circumference and 3″ (3, 4 )” high after felting.
Gauge: 10 sts and 14 rnds = 4″ in St st with Chunky 128 yarn on larger needles; 9 sts and 13″ows = 2″ in chevron lace patt with Lana D’Oro; 14″ sts and 22 rows = 4″ in vine lace patt; 4 sts and 4″rows = 1″ in eyelet lace patt.
Needles: Bowls size 13 (9 mm): 16″ circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Lace trim size 5 (3.75 mm): straight. Size 7 (4.5 mm): 16″ cir and set of dpn. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Markers (m); tapestry needle; wool wash; blocking pins; ruler; felting needle (38 gauge); foam felting block.
