Description

A traditional motif; these socks have contrasting heels, toes, and cuffs; and striped soles. Sportweight yarns make for a quick knit and an ideal introduction to color work.

Finished Size: 7 ½” foot circumference and 9″ long from back of heel to tip of toe. To fit women’s U.S. shoe sizes 6 ½ to 8.
Yarn: Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sport (100% superwash wool; 200 yd [183 m]/74 g): #14ns denim (MC) and #0ns natural (CC), 1 skein each.
Yarn weight: #2 – Fine
Gauge: 15 sts and 16 rnds = 2″ in St st color-work patt, after blocking.
Needles: Size 2 (2.75 mm): set of 5 double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Tapestry needle; sock blockers (optional).
