Description

This simple lace scarf features a scrollwork border taken from a book of charted Celtic designs. Charts of this nature are often used as templates for colorwork, but they translate perfectly into the positive- and negative-space aspects of filet crochet. Quickly and easily crocheted in an exploded gauge using creamy-soft cashmere-blend yarn, this scarf makes for a luxurious accessory and a handsome gift.

Finished Size: 8″ wide and 64″ long, blocked.
Yarn: Lion Brand Cashmere Blend (72% merino wool, 14% cashmere, 14% nylon; 84 yd [77 m]/1 ½ oz [40 g]; ): #105 light blue, 4 balls.
Yarn weight: #4 – Medium.
Gauge: 13 sts = 4″ and 4 rows = 3″ unblocked in filet patt. Gauge is not crucial for project.
Hook: Size J/10 (6 mm) crochet hook. Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain gauge.
