The traditional selburose (a Norwegian rose pattern) gets some love in this colorful cowl. Center single crochets serve a dual purpose: to avoid the slant that occurs when working in the round and to keep the patterning symmetrical and crisp. Shown in four colors, this design could be done in as few as two for a different look.

Hook Size: I/9 (5.5 mm) and J/10 (6 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

Notions: Stitch markers (m); yarn needle.

Gauge: 25 sts = 6 1/2″ wide and 10 rows = 2″ tall, unblocked.
