Description

These cute and colorful mittens are worked in the round from a Latvian braid edge. Two-color stranded colorwork is easy to work in the traditional motifs, and duplicate stitch accents added after finishing create another layer of fun color.

Finished Size: 7½ ” hand circumference and 10½ ” long.
Yarn: Brown Sheep Nature Spun Sport Weight (100% wool; 184 yd [168 m]/50 g): #144 limestone (MC), #730 natural (CC1), and #N46 red fox (CC2), 1 ball each.
Yarn Weight: #2 – Fine
Needles: Size 3 (3.25 mm): 32″ circular (cir) or set of 4 or 5 double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Markers (m); stitch holder; tapestry needle.
Gauge: 32 sts and 32 rnds = 4″ in patt.
