Inspired by the wide variety of oversize belts in stores and on the runway, the designer wanted to create a version that was more comfortable: a belt with the give and stretch that yarn allows. The lace-up closure is a stylish detail that provides a custom fit. Contrasting embroidery is an optional final touch.

Finished Size: 3 ½” wide. Length of belt is adjustable, based on desired waist circumference.
Yarn: Mission Falls 1824 Wool (100% superwash merino; 85 yd [78 m]/1¾ oz [50 g]; CYCA-standard yarn weight system-4): #008 earth (MC), 2 skeins; #028 pistachio (CC), 1 skein. Yarn distributed by CNS Yarns.
Yarn weight: #4 – Medium
Gauge: 8 sts and 9 rows = 2″ in sc.
Needles: Hooks: Size H/8 (5 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Yarn needle.
