Description

The Fiesta Socorro yarn used for this skirt is wool wrapped with a thin strand of nylon. The nylon not only helps the yarn keep its shape, it also takes the dye in a slightly different fashion, creating a subtle color variation. To achieve a fairly simple shape that sits just below the waist but has a little swing, the designer chose this slowly increasing flare with contrasting godets.

Finished Size: 30 (32 ½, 34 ½, 36 ½, 38 ½, 41)” at hip. Garment shown measures 32 ½”.
Yarn: Fiesta Yarns Socorro (82% wool, 18% nylon; 210 yd [190 m]/4 oz [113 g]; CYCA-standard yarn weight system-4): #27103 African violet (MC), 5 (5, 6, 6, 7, 8) skeins; #24104 Alaska (CC) 1 (1, 2, 2, 2, 3) skeins.
Yarn weight: #4 – Medium
Gauge: 17 sts and 14 rows = 4″ in hdc.
Needles: Hooks: Size F/5 (3.75 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
