Finished Size: 32" wide and 30" long from shoulder to lower edge.

Specific Yarn Used: Tahki Yarns Vermont (50% merino wool, 50% alpaca; 93 yd [85 m]/1¾ oz [50 g]): #01 birch (A), #06 pebble (B), and #111 charcoal heather (C), 4 balls each; #07 charcoal (D) and #110 stone heather (E), 3 balls each.

Needles: Size 9 (5.5 mm): straight and 32" circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Cable needle (cn); tapestry needle.
Gauge: 16 sts and 24 rows = 4" in Patt #3.
Notes: This ruana is worked in 6 separate strips that are sewn together. The arrow on the assembly diagram indicates the direction of knitting for all pieces. Break yarn at each color change. Slip stitches at the beginning of rows purlwise with yarn in back.
