Crocheted components inspired by coral reefs are arranged over a crescent-moon-shaped necklace in this show-stopping piece. The beaded fringe and hanging loops are worked into the edges of the necklace base. YARN Nazli Gelin Garden 10 (distributed by Universal Yarn) (100% Egyptian Giza mercerized cotton; 306 yd (280 m)/1¾ oz (50 g)): #700-32 (A-dark blue), #700 31 (B-light blue), #700-16 (C-dark green), #700-14 (D-light green), #700-52 (E dark purple), #700-51 (F-light purple), 1 ball each color.
HOOK Size 6 (1.6 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
NOTIONS Stitch markers (m), 10 (9 same color, 1 contrasting color); embroidery needle that has eye small enough to fit through beads; beads to match color A (220), B (60), C (11), D (22), and E (25); 4” diameter plastic canvas circle, 1; 9mm jump rings, 2; 7” chain bracelet with lobster clasp, 1 (sample used Darice #8231615); pliers and wire cutter; sewing pins.
